Vickery Place is the place to be!
- Most Convenient
- Most Reasonable
- Most Desirable
And the water! Gobs of it! Look for the flag on the derrick over the artesian well — you can see it from St. Mary’s College on Ross!

The ad says it’s at the “highest point in the addition” at the “north line of the property” — so, maybe around Goodwin?

This is really a great find……while the water will flow in that area as the add makes you think how bad was the drought back then in 1911….and did the place ever amount to anything…..no but by 1964 it would when North Park opened up……great article and Merry Christmas…Paula….for such a great eye…..

I think you may be confusing Vickery Place with the old Vickery community (which was north of Park Lane and Greenville Avenue). Vickery Place is in the Lower Greenville area around Belmont and Greenville and is an early development that has thrived for over 100 years.
Thanks, Alex — and Merry Christmas to you, too!
