Have You Emailed Me Recently?

Oh no! I just discovered that my Flashback Dallas emails have not been auto-forwarding to my main email account!! There are MONTHS of emails I never received. I will start going back through the eye-wateringly large number of what I’m sure are very nice emails which are sitting unopened in their dark little Gmail dungeon. If you have written to me in the past I-don’t-know-how-many-months (!!) and have wondered why I never deigned to respond, now you know why. I apologize for this oversight. And, yes, like Nancy, there is anxiety-perspiration shooting off my fevered brow with great force. Argh.

While I have you, do you know of any historical drama type book (chick lit) set in Dallas or Ft. Worth? Thanks.

Hmm. There are several novels set in Dallas, but I can’t think of any “chick lit” examples (I’m sure they’re out there). One of my favorite *nonfiction* books about older Dallas that was written by a woman, was one that focused on her life growing up in a largely unpaved East Dallas and her later life as a rancher’s wife (her husband built her a house on Swiss Avenue she never felt comfortable in) — that autobiography is “Willie, A Girl from a Town Called Dallas” by Willie Newbury Lewis. I’ve been meaning to write a post about favorite books about Dallas – this reminds me I should do that!
