I suspect that it was only temporary internet display. have you checked the Internet Archive Wayback machine?

If you meant you could not find them at the Briscoe Center for American History, the photos can be found with this search: https://www.cah.utexas.edu/db/dmr/dmr_result.php?find=american+airlines+1951&submit.x=0&submit.y=0&submit=submit

Be patient. It took over 20 seconds for the results to load for me.

UT should be ashamed. Not only are the search results slow to load but the size of the photos are contrary to the “everything is bigger in Texas” axiom.

Looks like the planes shown are DC-4s, DC-6Bs and CV-240s:
