Oh lord, that first photo … a full three years behind the cutting edge. It’s almost the Summer of Love, and they’re doing 1963 Beach Boys.

Paula, thanks for the stroll, an old Cliffie here.
Loved Goff’s back then. The in-crowd went to Kip’s after movies or games. I went to Goff’s, for a better burger and the great ice cream. My steady girl once asked, “Can we go to Kip’s tonight?” We did. Next time I started to go to Kip’s, which I assumed she preferred. She said, “Let’s go to Goff’s, the food is better.”
Re Ketchum and Killum: Reportedly an out of town policeman was observing Dallas’s late night patrols when a call came in regarding a burglary at that location, the notice sounding something like this: Burglary at Zang’s and Kiest, Ketchum and Killum. To his ears, of course, it was, “Catch ’em and kill ’em.” Rather surprising. The emporium offered fishing and hunting gear.
